MEET OUR LEADERS
Geoff Stooke, brings nearly 25 years of experience in the global insurance industry, having held key roles at CHUBB, AIG, and IAG. At IAG, he successfully managed a distributed broker network of approximately 38,000 policyholders across the ANZ region. As the founder of Modern Risk Solutions, he built a high-growth insurance brokerage specializing in technology, cyber, and life sciences risks, which was acquired in 2021 by TA Associates/MARSH. Geoff has been a pioneer in embedded insurance, launching the region’s first peer-to-peer insurance in 2014. A recognized thought leader, he has developed innovative insurance solutions for blockchain, fintech, AI, and the quantum computing industries. His academic credentials include a BBus, Grad Cert (FINSIA), Grad Dip. ANZIIF (Insurance Broking), and executive education from The Wharton School in FinTech and Scaling a Business. Geoff takes great pride in fostering business relationships around the World based on mutual trust, empathy, integrity, friendship, and loyalty. Given his diverse business experiences as both an Underwriter and a Broker he deeply understands the requirements of each role and the pressures of client servicing, valuing a sense of urgency and responsiveness.
James Soutter is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in senior executive roles, including CEO and CIO positions, at global financial companies. He spent a decade in London working at JP Morgan and Fidelity, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing complex global businesses and gaining deep industry knowledge. James's leadership skills were further highlighted during his tenure as a Senior Portfolio Manager, where he covered the listed Lloyds of London reinsurers. He also played a pivotal role in assisting Resolution Life UK with the integration of its acquisition of AMP Life. His ability to lead and manage diverse teams and projects has been a key factor in his success. James holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has completed studies at the UK CFA Society and the Australian Securities Institute. His diverse background and expertise, combined with his strong leadership skills, make him a valuable leader in the financial sector.
